I don't scrapbook as much as I want to but the last couple years the trend is baby girl gifts for friends. (I'm working on two now and still need to put up pics from three others I did!) I have to be careful about this b/c I will get burnt out if I don't keep some personal projects going in between gift projects but the baby girl albums have definitely overtaken my blog posts lately... and I love it! I'm so often surrounded by boy stuff being the only female in my house so the pink embellishments and papers really make me smile. Here's a mini album for monthly milestones I made for little Sharon Caroline.
For the album itself, I used a Studio Calico Handbook with 6x8" page sizes. For a personal touch and to make it more 'girly' I added the baby's initials in Thickers and a bow from one of the Maggie Holmes' lines.
I don't remember everything I used for this album but some of the paper was a combination of Maggie Holmes' "Bloom" as well as various scrap papers I had from previous projects. The album simply contains an intro page, a layout page for each month where the mother can write updates and milestones with journaling plus a closing page. In the back I placed a few photo pocket pages for extra space.
Aside from the intro page, all the photo spaces are for portrait 4x6 pictures as those were really the only ones that would fit on that size album. The photo inserts in the back allowed for landscape pics. This was a fun project and I hope you enjoyed taking a peek at it. Hugs!
